On May 29 a commercial group was running Maytag Rapid on the Goodyear’s Bar run of the North Fork of the Yuba at 4000 cfs, a very high level. The raft flipped. A guest became caught in oar rig hardware but eventually worked free and survived. The victim entered the water to assist and was carried downstream into the rapids below.
