Bryce Hood, 18, is dead after drowning in Big South Fork River near Highway 1741 on Sunday. The victim, from Jessamine County, was canoeing with friends. Witnesses said they stopped off to swim and the victim swam to the bank with a cut foot. Crews say he apparently went back under the water and did not come back up.
