Non-Witness Narrative by ccw on 2008-05-20 (okay to publish): A commercial trip had a multiple raft flip in Boulder Line Rapid, well below the major rapids. A woman fell from raft helping another guest She went under water and disappeared. Head count came up short. Guides began a thorough search. When it was unsuccessful, authorities were notified. Masontown, WV fire & Rescue Rescue searched from shore and maintained vigil throughout the night. Her PFD was found in Cheat Lake. Her body was found Sunday AM by firefighters in motorized craft, still caught on rock. Water level had dropped over a foot, exposing her body.
