(LEX 18) — The Marion County Coroner’s Office confirms that the body found in the waters of the Rolling Fork River was positively identified as a missing kayaker. On Sunday, Marion and Taylor County rescue crews worked most of the day looking for 28-year-old Anthony Brown, who was out on the Rolling Fork River in Lebanon. Brown was going over Mills Dam when he fell out of his kayak and never resurfaced. Brown’s family says it was the first time he had ever gone kayaking. They don’t believe Brown was wearing a lifejacket. “The water was a lot rougher yesterday than it is now. But with the water being pretty rough, the heat, wearing dry suits but we just try to stay hydrated and try to keep the search going and rule different areas of the river out,” said Campbellsville Fire and Rescue Chief Chris Taylor.
