Shoulder dislocation occurred when boater braced upon landing in the pool following a successful run of the left line at Oceana. Unable to roll with the dislocation, boater swam and self rescued. Boat and paddle were recovered. Medical professional in group evaluated boater and then reduced the dislocation and provided OTC pain reliever / anti-inflammatory medication. Boater and gear were evacuated using the river right trail below Bridal Veil, accompanied by medical professional and another member of the group. Boater is seeking follow-up care in his hometown. xxx
