I only read about this on Facebook when friends were publicly mourning and am surprised no accident report has been published. I don’t have first hand knowledge. (Search Facebook for Carin Burford.) Here is pasted post from Danger Judy: My friend Carin Burford died on the West fork of the Little River, a class II-III run, in a freak accident/pin today. She was with an outstanding crew who got to her as quick as possible and did CPR on the riverbank until EMS arrived. They did all they could do, I wasn’t going to post ‘the kneeling paddler picture’ or anything else tonight but I think it honors her so I am doing it. /// I wasn’t there. I was on the Mulberry when I got the call. We are all heartbroken.
