Non-Witness Narrative by (do not publish name) on 2011-08-18 (okay to publish): Wendy Maness and a group of friends put on the Maury River for a tubing trip. Shortly after the trip began, the victims tube snagged on a root, and she fell out of the tube. She was a weak swimmer and was not wearing a PFD. She was seen floating unconcious in the river by her friends. No one actually witnessed the drowning.
