Explore the Whitewater of the Salmon River Watershed!

🌊 Join friends old and new for a weekend of whitewater fun in the stunning Salmon River watershed. It’s all free-flowing, wild, and waiting for you. April 10-12, 2026.
This year’s Gathering is earlier than usual due to low snowpack in the Salmon Mountains—we want to catch the rivers while flows are still good. The mainstem Salmon will definitely be runnable, and flows on the forks will depend on rain and snowmelt—but we’re optimistic they’ll be in.
🚣 All crafts welcome: kayaks, rafts, catarafts, packrafts, whitewater canoes, SUPs, inflatable sofas, tubes—whatever floats (just keep it safe).
🥾 Not boating? There’s great hiking, biking, and plenty to do on land.
This is an unofficial, unorganized gathering—no program, no host. The people who show up make it what it is. Bring good energy, friends and family, boats, bikes, instruments, food, and libations. And as always: Leave No Trace.
🏕 Camping: Nordheimer Campground (4 miles downstream of Forks of Salmon)
