I spoke to paddlers today who were there the other day and told me about the fatality. Apparently there is also a canoe stuck on the strainer. I will put eyes on it next week when I am planning to be there. The strainer is listed in the Boating Obstruction Reporting Tool (BORT) with Oregon State Marine Board (OSMB).
