St. Charles man drowns while kayaking in Ozark County

OZARK COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) – A 75-year-old man from St. Charles drowned while kayaking in Ozark County Saturday afternoon. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the man suffered an undisclosed medical emergency while kayaking on the North Fork of the White River at around 3:15 p.m. The medical emergency caused him to capsize his kayak and lose consciousness. First responders performed first aid, but the man was later pronounced dead by an air evac doctor.
