A woman is dead after an afternoon of tubing in the Blanco River in Hays County. The 29-year-old was swept underwater under a bridge on Old Stagecoach Road about 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Family and friends did not see her come back up. The Hays County Sheriff’s office and Kyle Fire Department responded to the call. Emergency crews performed CPR and she was taken to Central Texas Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
