Nate White from Colorado, broke his back on Daisy Creek in Colorado. On June 25th 2016 Nate White and some friends were kayaking near Crested Butte, CO. Nate suffered a severe spinal injury while running a waterfall on Daisy Creek. He was rescued from the river and med flighted to Swedish hospital just south of Denver. Upon arrival Nate had no movement below the waist and limited feeling in his legs. He had emergency back surgery to take pressure off of his spine with subsequent surgeries planned to follow. While he is surrounded by loved ones it is unsure how his recovery will be. However it is certain that his recovery will be long and arduous.
