June 13th, 2016 – Zoom Flume Rapid: Sandra Johnson (51 Y.O.A. female) was a commercial passenger on a 13′ NRS paddle raft. When the 6 boat trip was navigating Zoom Flume Rapid Johnson’s raft was unable to avoid a rock in the center of the river midway down the rapid. This was Johnson’s third time falling out of the raft. This time three other passengers also fell out. Johnson made no attempts to self rescue and was recovered by another raft about 140 yards from where she entered the water. She was unresponsive. CPR was initiated but resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful. The river flow was 1570 cfs.
