Accident Date: July 28, 2023. Location: Martin Hole 10 miles East of Eminence, MO. The Current River in Missouri is a Class I float stream. USGS river gauge indicated around 300 CFS flow on that date, which is very low. Victim was Jason A. Bollinger, 48. As his 10′ kayak traveled downstream he fell into the water and failed to resurface. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Report states no PFD used.
