(KFVS) – Five people were rescued after they were stranded on rocks at a state park due to flash flooding on Tuesday. Sgt. Clark Parrott with the Missouri State Highway Patrol told Heartland News that authorities in Reynolds County worked with MSHP Troop G to rescue the group from Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park. The flash flooding and high waters caused the group to become trapped on the rocks. Parrott said the rescue teams couldn’t get boats out there due to the rocks, but they were able to get the group life jackets. Fortunately, no one was injured.
