We lost a private boater in the Kennebec River gorge below Harris Station on Friday 6/27. Experienced 56 yo solo rowing. May have had a medical issue and fallen overboard. Most likely not a flush drowning though Solo rowing an oar rig, fell out (didn’t capsize) around big mama, was rescued in lower alleyway. Short swim in normal 5k cfs flow. Was around other boats and with a group in a paddle raft. Had fast rescue, AED and emergency sat phone are just at the base of carry brook stairs. I don’t know if they used the AED or not, have to ask maine warden service. Was rescued by guides on a play run/day off.
