In an earlier incident on the Big Hole River, Cora Rader, 63, drowned on May 30th while participating in a memorial service to scatter her sons ashes. The raft they were travelling in hit the support pillar of the Jerry Creek Bridge near Wise River, Montana and flipped. Mrs. Rader was carried under water where her life vest became tangled on a submerged log. Family members watching from shore called for help, and six other people were quickly pulled from the river by rescue personnel. Mrs. Raders body was recovered a few hours later.
