Description

I don’t know all the details but there was a shoulder injury on the Tohickon during fall release this year. Check w/ Phila Canoe club for more info…it was one of their rolling instructors appearently (Posts on the message board are included below) Posted By: Rose Van Keuren Posted At: 8:22:31 AM – 11/7/2006 Dave, Ed and I were sorry to hear about your bum wing. Now, if you and Karen had gone on the flatwater trip, you’d have been less likely to hurt your shoulder (but if you’re like Ed, more likely to go up in flames, not sure that’s too much better). Feel better soon! We’ll see you two at the Trot. Rose RE: Thanks to all who helped! Posted By: dave m Posted At: 3:11:28 AM – 11/7/2006 get to see doc today at 2pm. God bless the person who invented morphine! im hurtin. my wife is taking very good care of me. hard to sleep. looking forward to watching the turkey trot. hope you all can make it there, its a great night of fun. this time karen and i will be wall flowers though. the worst part is when it snaped and i couldnt move my arm i though i had broken my neck….thought for a moment i had paralyzed my body, then realized only arm was the problem.whew!ouch! keep smiling! i will still be helping at the pool inspecting the boats. everyone who helped me were very nice and id like to appologize for my mouth. hard to control it when something hurts that much. i love the way everyone pulled ogether to help me out of the situation i was in. shredder was great help. I cant thank everyone who helped enough! Patti is a hearo! she must have run a marathon that day….two trips up that valley in minutes is olympic stuff! thank you everyone. RE: Thanks to all who helped! Posted By: Ruth Krieger Posted At: 10:42:40 PM – 11/6/2006 Sorry to hear about your shoulder, Dave. I hope you feel better soon. Ruth Krieger RE: Thanks to all who helped! Posted By: PaulL Posted At: 1:17:32 PM – 11/6/2006 Dave, I heard about your accident at the take out on Saturday. You were also on the minds and lips of people, some even complete strangers from NY, at the put in on Sunday. You helped me learn to roll earlier this year at St. Joe’s, but I never had the pleasure of paddleing with you this year. I wish you a speedy recovery, and I WILL see you at the rolling sessions THIS spring. PaulL RE: Thanks to all who helped! Posted By: dana Posted At: 8:16:29 PM – 11/4/2006 heya, i heard dislocated. is it broken then? dave-o, hope you are better soon! speedy recovery, dana Thanks to all who helped! Posted By: dave m Posted At: 8:07:51 PM – 11/4/2006 Thanks to all those that helped my husband on the Toh this afternoon. Everybody chipped in and was so helpful and I thank you for that. To those that aren’t aware of what happened but are now wondering, he braced a little too hard off a rock and broke his shoulder. He is home from the hospital, in a sling and on some good meds. Hopefully a little rest and some therapy and he’ll be as good as new. Thanks again to everybody involved. Karen ps. He had an awesome time up until he broke himself!!!
