American Whitewater is extending an open invitation to our membership and supporters for an update on Mid-Atlantic project work. Patagonia, one of our oldest industry partners, will provide space for our gathering in their Georgetown Store.

We recognize that the DC paddling community and our incredible network of volunteers is important to our long history of success in the region. Now that our organization is no longer based in the DC area we find it important to come back to meet our old friends and tell you what we’re up to. Thanks to the efforts of our volunteers and partners we have successes and updates to report on the Upper Yough, Ohiopyle Falls on the Yough, Holtwood on the Susquehanna, Lehigh, and other rivers enjoyed by paddlers from the region.

In addition we will tell you about some of our national policy work that we are engaged in while in DC. We continue to have regular interaction with resource managers from NPS, USFS, BLM, FERC, and other agencies responsible for management actions affecting our nation’s waterways.

Time: Tuesday, November 14th, 6 pm, presentation to start at 6:30 pm with opportunity for questions and discussion.
Place: Patagonia Georgetown Store, 1048 Wisconsin Ave., Washington, D.C.

While we will be wrapping up our evening at Patagonia by 7:30 we will move to a local establishment in the neighborhood for drinks and continued discussion for those who are interested.
