1st Annual Fundraiser for American Whitewater

The watery women of Lotus Designs will be hostessing this gathering of the girls at the American River Festival as a gift to the good folks at American Whitewater.  Any woman who is comfortable paddling down the S.F. of the American River (Chili Bar section) is encouraged to sign up for tips, tricks, and take-out party.

 

Registration is free to Members of American Whitewater!

 

Donations to American Whitewater are greatly appreciated to help keep up their work of protecting and restoring whitewater rivers across the country.

To register for the Lotus Ladies on the River Day, please call the American Whitewater Events office and ask for Ben: 828-252-0728 or email ben@amwhitewater.org. This event is limited to 25 women, spaces for this unique event will go quickly so register now to avoid being disappointed!

The River Store in Coloma will be offering free boat demos to any ladies participating in this event. Please arrange this prior to departure and have all your gear ready to go. For more information or to reserve a boat, please contact Susan at 530-626-3435 or info@theriverstore.com.

We will meet at Beyond Limits in Coloma at 9:30 and a shuttle will take us to the put-in. The river section will be a 4hour paddle down the SF of the American River, putting in at Chili Bar. Lunch will be provided by our raft support on the river. We will take out at Beyond Limits and make our way over to The River Store for an après paddle party with food, beverages, slide show, Q&A, and free schwag for all participants!

  

Timeline:

9:30 AM               Meet at Beyond Limits with all your gear ready to go

10:00 AM             Shuttle to put in at Chili Bar

11:00 AM             Put in on the SF of the American

3:00 PM               Take off river at Beyond Limits

3:30 PM                   Arrive back at The River Store for slide show, food, beverages and Shwag giveaways.
