1st Annual Fundraiser for American Whitewater

Saturday, June 19th, 2004

 

The watery women of Lotus Designs will be hostessing this gathering of the girls at  FIBark as a gift to the good folks at American Whitewater.  Any woman who is comfortable rolling and paddling in class 2-3 water, is encouraged to sign up for tips, tricks, and take-out party.

Donations to American Whitewater are greatly appreciated to help keep up their work of protecting and restoring whitewater rivers across the country.

To register for the Lotus Ladies on the River Day, please call the American Whitewater Events office and ask for Ben: 828-252-0728 or email ben@amwhitewater.org. This event is limited to 25 women, spaces for this unique event will go quickly so register now to avoid being disappointed! If you are not already a member of American Whitewater, you can sign up when you register for this event.

 

Lotus Designs will have free demo gear available at our booth for this event.

 

Headwaters will be offering free boat demos to any ladies signed up for this event. For more information about reserving a boat, please contact Loni at 719-539-4506 or email  headwaters@amigo.net.

 

We will meet at the Lotus Designs booth at FIBark on Saturday at 2:00 pm (with all your gear) for an afternoon of play. From there we will head to the whitewater park for a 2 hour clinic to work on everything from basic techniques to advance playboating skills. At 4:30 pm we will head back to the Lotus Designs booth for an après paddle party with food, beverages, Q&A, and free schwag for all participants! We will also have a fundraising drawing for American Whitewater for products donated by Lotus Designs, Water Girl, Smith and Teva.
