Summersville Dam will continue to release about 5,000 cfs Thursday and 4300 cfs overnight. At 7am Friday the Dam will cut back to 2500 cfs and hold that flow overnight. The Meadow is expected to be at 1000-1200 cfs on Friday. Our goal is about 3500 combined flow. The overnight flow will be 2500 cfs on Friday. If that changes you will be notified ASAP.
Saturday thru Monday: At 6am Saturday, 2800 cfs from the dam thru the day and overnight. The Meadow should continue to go down. If the Meadow does not go down as fast as expected we will adjust flows from the dam accordingly.
New River is at 50,000+ cfs as of Thursday at 10am on the Hinton gauge. On Friday it is expected to be about 40,000 cfs.
Around noon on Friday, the New River is expected to begin to drop significantly. On Saturday, the combined flow of the New and Greenbrier at Hinton should be between 25-30,000 cfs. These are predictions that are preliminary and subject to change. Please check these closely.
