Depending on the timing of the spring run-off this year, there will be a collaborative flow study on Montana’s West Rosebud Creek on June 25th and 26th, or one of the following weekends in early July.  We will let the paddling community know as soon as one of these weekends is selected.  On the weekend of the study, a range of flows will be provided over two days for paddlers to experience and document.  We hope that the study will be well attended by the regional paddling community.

In addition to this planned flow study, paddlers are also encouraged to take advantage of additional boating opportunities on West Rosebud during other days when the creek is flowing.  We request that everyone that paddles West Rosebud fill out an online flow survey.

For now, SAVE THE DATES of June 25th and 26th – and we’ll let you know as soon as a specific weekend is selected.  For more information on West Rosebud Creek, check out:  http://www.americanwhitewater.org/rivers/id/1020/

The data collected during the flow study will form the basis for negotiations on recreational flows and access on West Rosebud, and we hope that paddlers will rally to provide us ample and objective data – and have fun in the process!
