Weekly update July 21st, 2005

The Northeast Flow Forecast is a new test feature we would like to add and expand to other regions of the country.  For now the following information will only be posted for the northeast region on a weekly basis.  Look for this feature to be updated by Thursday of each week.  Scheduled releases, events, and weather links are the main focus of this weekly almanac.  Please send comments or suggestions to mwlcrx@yahoo.com

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Scheduled releases

Dam releases.
This weekends scheduled releases for the northeastern United States

Be aware weather and/or mechanical problems could alter recreational release schedules. Always check ahead of your trip by calling the dam operators or checking the related American Whitewater websites for the latest changes.


2005 Massachusetts release schedule .

Fife Brook in Massachusetts will be releasing daily from Wednesday July 20th thru Sunday July 24th. Waterline flow forecast

There are no scheduled Dryway releases this weekend. Waterline flow forecast


2005 New Hampshire / Vermont release schedule .

Pontook on the Androscoggin river near Errol NH will be releasing Friday July 22nd, Saturday July 23rd and Sunday July 24th

Pemi (Bristol) Class II pre recorded phone line 603-634-3569. 800 cfs is a low level.

Sumner Falls (Park & play) For current and the next days release information from Wilder dam go to the Waterline FlowCaste website. You can also call 1-800-452-1737 and at the prompt key in 505121 for the same web based information over the phone.

2005 New York release schedule .

Raquette River (Stone Valley Section) in New York class IV-V. will be releasing 720 cfs Saturday July 23rd. Waterline flow forecast

Mongaup River in New York class II-III. will be releasing on Sunday July 24th.

Sacandaga River (NY) Releases everyday for much of the year. Releases are from about 10am to 5pm apx. 5000cfs. Waterline flow forecast

Salmon River (NY) 750 cfs Saturday July 23rd and Sunday July 24th. Waterline flow forecast


2005 Maine release schedule .

Kennebec Upper Class IV Daily releases starting at 10 am. On Saturday July 23rd from 1pm to 3pm there will be a low flow release of 2400 cfs.

 

Kennebec Lower Class II-III Daily releases starting at 10 am (add 1/2 hour for flow to arrive at put in)

On Saturday July 23rd from 1pm to 3pm there will be a low flow release of 2400 cfs.

 

Rapid in Maine class IV. will be releasing 1300 cfs Saturday July 23rd. On Sunday July 24h there will be 1800 cfs until noon

 

Canada Falls section of the South Branch of the Penobscott will be releasing this Saturday July 24th
