Why a Paddle Ecuador!
contest? ACCESS!

Ohiopyle Falls…The headwaters of the Chattooga…Johns Creek…sections of the South Platte…Skykomish…The whitewater rivers we love to paddle are increasingly under siege. 

When river access is threatened, AW is there representing the boaters. We’ve
won several
battles, but others continue. 
The more members we have, the more successful we’ll be at keeping us all on the rivers we love and respect! (Read

How it works

It’s easy! Just get your friends to join AW! For every 2 new members
you bring in, we’ll enter your name in a drawing for a 7-day trip
to Ecuador with Small World Adventures and you’ll get a cork AW coaster with a sneak-preview of our new (unreleased!) logo.

Getting Started

It’s so easy!

<li><a href="http://www.americanwhitewater.org/volunteer/">Sign up today online </a>. This is optional, but it will help ensure you get proper credit in the contest. </li>
<li>Get your friends to join! Tell them about AW’s <a href="http://www.americanwhitewater.org/access/">Access program</a> and AW <a href="http://americanwhitewater.org/membership/">member benefits</a>. They can join <a href="http://americanwhitewater.org/membership/">online</a> or by mail (see below).
<li>Let us know who you’re recruiting. Send us your list by <a href="mailto:EcuadorContest@americanwhitewater.org">e-mail</a>, call 866-BOAT-4-AW, or mail it in. We’ll automatically credit you when we receive their payment. ** Send us their names even if you’re not certain they’ll join – we want to make sure you get credit if they do! **

Contest Rules

<ul>
<li>Individuals will receive one entry in a drawing for a
7-day trip
in Ecuador PLUS an AW coaster for every 2 new AW members recruited.
<li>
AW affiliate clubs will receive one drawing entry for every 10
new members they bring it. 
<li>There’s no limit on the number of times your name
can be entered. Increase your chances by recruiting more members! 
<li>How can your new members join? 
<ol> <li><a

through our membership page. Ask them to put your name in
the comments or "referred by" section.
<li>BY MAIL: Collect the dues and send them to us yourself or let them send us their dues directly. Make checks payable to: American Whitewater, PO Box 636, Margaretville, NY 12455.</ol>

<li>Receive credit for new members, renewed lapsed
members, or existing
members who make an additional gift of $25 or more.
<li>Sign up as a participant to receive updates on the contest and
to ensure you get proper credit and recognition.

<li>Membership dues must be received by January 31,
2002 in order
to be eligible.
<li>Contest void where prohibited. For drawing entry send a self addressed
stamped envelope to: PO Box 636, Margaretville, NY 12455.
