Member Get a Member Campaign Week 7 & 8 Winners – Last week!

American Whitewater, our nation’s leader in protecting and restoring whitewater rivers, is announcing the 2007 Member Get a Member Campaign in partnership with KEEN and Liquid Logic Kayaks.  American Whitewater members know the value of AW’s river stewardship work.  This Member Get a Member campaign will encourage paddlers to educate their friends and encourage them to support AW’s efforts.

For the months of July and August, KEEN will give away 10 pairs of Zerraport sandals per week to American Whitewater members and their recruits who participate in this program.  As a grand prize, Liquid Logic will give a free whitewater boat of choice to the AW member who recruits the most new members by September 1st.

Here is how the program works:

  1. American Whitewater members go out and spread the word of AW’s efforts in river stewardship and encourage all of their paddling friends to join American Whitewater.
  2. All of your friends now understanding the importance of American Whitewater, join AW!
  3. For each new member that joins as part of this program both the new member and the existing member will be entered to win one of 10 pairs of KEEN Zerraport sandals that will be raffled off each week. 
  4. The American Whitewater member who recruits the most new members as of September 1st, 2007 will receive a free Liquid Logic whitewater kayak of your choice.

How to purchase memberships:

  1. Online: memberships can be purchased 24 / 7 through the American Whitewater’s website, be sure to list the member that recruited you! 
  2. Mail: memberships can also be completed by filling out this PDF membership form.  All paper membership must be received by American Whitewater no later than August 31st.
  3. In Person: Membership can also be purchased at the AW Booths at the Potomac River Festival and the Deerfield River Festival.  At these events, KEEN will be giving away an extra 5 pairs of Zerraport Sandals.

A few more details:

  • AW members should recruite NEW AW members, this is defined as someone that does not currently have an American Whitewater membership.  If you have a question about your membership status or that of your friends email membership@amwhitewater.org.
  • New members that join at higher membership levels such as Ender Club, Platinum Paddler, Lifetime Members will increase your odds of winning.
  • Winners of the KEEN Zerraport Sandals will be announced each week on Tuesday via the AW website.  Winners will be contacted by email.
