What’s more, you can do your part to help cleanup the nearby French Broad River by participating in a river cleanup the Friday of the festival that will have you back in time to enjoy the show.
The 2009 FBRF was a huge hit, and this year will certainly be no exception. In 2009 the festival featured 2 stages w/ over 20 bands, a whitewater raft race, a mountain bike race, a river clean up, a kids village, face painting, a children’s parade, a dynamic art gallery, a silent auction, food vendors, arts and crafts, yoga, combustable and aerial artistry and many, many good times. It is estimated that between 2000 and 2500 people attended. The 2010 FBRF will feature musical acts such as James McMurtry and The Heartless Bastards from Austin, Tx, Lil Malcom and the House Rockers (Zydeco from Louisiana), the reunion of Asheville legends The Blue Rags, WSNB, The Trainwreks, Larry Keel, and many more. There will also be kids performances by Secret Agent 23 Skidoo and Sol Driven Train. Make plans to be there and help us support AW.
