As an organization, American Whitewater has been quite fortunate to have a committed group of volunteer Board of Directors that provides the organization with high-level oversight and strategic direction. American Whitewater’s Directors are the trustees of organization and act as fiduciaries for the members we serve. AW Directors are responsible for all policy outcomes of the organization including:
- Strategic direction and initiatives
- Organizational governance
- Monitoring operational performance including the fiscal health of the organization and working with the Executive Director to make sure the organization has the necessary resources to fulfill its mission.
Each year American Whitewater’s membership elects Directors to serve three-year terms. Our newly elected AW Directors include:
- Ed Clark
- Susan Hollingsworth
- Brian Jacobson
- Courtney Wilton (Courtney had been serving a partial term that was vacated).
Fond farewells are extended to outgoing AW Directors; Jennie Goldberg, Evie Locke and Adam Cramer whose terms ended. The staff of American Whitewater greatly appreciate the many contributions of our Directors.
