AW needs Your Feedback on Flows in the Virgin River

Virgin River Gorge, Arizona –

AW has released the next set of flow-surveys for the Virgin River Gorge, and we need your input!  If you have paddled the upper or lower sections of this spectacular gorge, please take a minute to evaluate flows.  This information will help protect river health and recreation.

This survey is designed so individuals can evaluate flows for each targeted whitewater run, which will then help American Whitewater describe how flows affect recreation quality, and to identify the range of flows necessary to support whitewater recreation experiences, from technical low water to challenging high water trips.

Your honest participation in this study will help American Whitewater inform future management of the Virgin River, and build support for healthy river flows threatened by drought, development, and management policies.
