Please reserve Saturday, March 30 for helping River Right, American Whitewater, and the Atlanta Whitewater Club cleanup and make improvements to the put-in on Lower Cartecay Road.
The work will begin at 10:00 am. With enough help we can complete all of the projects by 2:00 pm and get in a good run down to Blackberry after we knock off.
We need help with the following projects:
Spread mulch.
Lay railroad ties to prevent erosion and improper access to the river.
Repair existing path to river, replacing or repairing existing landscape timbers.
Erect American Whitewater signs.
Pick up trash and take it to the local dump.
Split wood for use by campers.
Weed eating.
Set up a new gauge provided by River Right.
Tools will be provided. However, bring your own if you prefer. Please do not let yourselves down on this. A clean and well run put-in is essential for maintaining a positive image in this community.
