American Whitewater is searching for a marketing professional who can plan, coordinate and implement the advertising, sales and sponsorship programs we conduct with companies and organizations. Job responsibilities include advertising sales for our publications and events, coporate support for programs and operations, branded product development and sales, partnership development. This includes American Whitewater Media „h the Journal – Advertising Sales- Retail Sales„h Gauley Festival and Beyond„h AWF Program„h Safety Codes„h Posters, other products as necessary„h Americanwhitewater.org- Gear, Guides and Services- Membership Sign up and Renewal Promotion„h AW Beta newsletter„h American Whitewater Events Sponsorship- Gauley Festival- Deerfield Festival- Paddling Film Festival- Ohiopyle Falls Race- American Whitewater Freestyle Events- Nealy Lives „h Product Sales (online, at events, through other venues)- Develop, purchase and inventory products- Develop and implemen promotion of event and online sales„h Corporate Sponsorship- Paddling Community Partners (retailers, instructional schools) Memberships- Corporate Sponsorships (Unrestricted Funds)- Solicit and secure memberships/ sponsorships- Follow up with promised benefits „h Manage the invoicing, accounts payables and receivables, providing monthly updates of financial performance vs. budget, and 12 month rolling forecast.- Record deposits and expenses accurately for accounting and tax purposeORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS„h Experienced at organizing chaos, multi-tasking and maintaining a balance between a keen sense of urgency and a long-term view„h Entrepreneurial self-starter„h Flexible to change when required„h Excellent communication skills (written, oral, presentation and electronic)„h Excellent interpersonal skills„h Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Access), Adobe (Photoshop, Freehand) EXPERIENCE„h Experience with creative development and production project management„h Have a working knowledge of the outdoor industry„h Experience effectively managing volunteers
