The following Public Notice includes a link to the management plan for the North Chickamauga Creek area. Boating is listed as a use that IS allowed in the area, but regional boaters may want to comment supporting this decision, or on some other ecological matter.
PUBLIC NOTICE: North Chickamauga Creek Gorge Natural Area Management Plan
The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation’s (TDEC) Division
of Natural Heritage, Natural Areas Program announced the availability for
public review of the North Chickamauga Creek Gorge Natural Area Management
Plan. This action is to provide an opportunity for public comment on the
management plans content. The public comment period is open for 30 days
beginning Wednesday December 11, 2002 and ending Thursday January 9, 2003 at
4:30 PM EST.
