The biggest river conservation bill in California history is making its way through Congress. This Spring, Senator Barbara Boxer will reintroduce the bill — the California Wild Heritage Act — hopefully with support from California’s senior Senator, Dianne Feinstein.
Hundreds of conservation and recreation groups and businesses, including American Whitewater and Friends of the River, have worked tirelessly to gain support from Senator Feinstein. Now YOUR help is needed in this crucial hour, as the clock ticks toward reintroduction.
Please take a moment to write a letter to Senator Feinstein expressing your support for Wild & Scenic designation for any or all of the following whitewater rivers: the North Fork Stanislaus, the NF Mokelumne, the Downie River, Pauley and Lavezzola Creeks, Cache Creek, the East Carson River, the Clavey River, Dinkey Creek, the Lower Kern River, the Kings, and the South Fork Tuolumne. Tell the Senator why you love these rivers and why you think they deserve Wild & Scenic status.
