The Sixth Annual French Broad River Festival, a benefit for Eliada Home for Children and American Whitewater, will take place on May 9 and 10, 2003 in beautiful Hot Springs, North Carolina, just 45 minutes north of Asheville, at the Hot Springs Campground and Spa.

Come spend the weekend with family and friends listening to great regional music, shopping for new outdoor gear at the Silent Auction or with one of our many vendors, and watching or participating in either the Kayak Rolling Rodeo or the French Broad River Raft Race.

Musical guests include old time music with the Steep Canyon Rangers and the funky grooves of Strut on Friday night. On Saturday, music begins at 11 a.m. and goes through 12 midnight. Acts include Custom Grass Snakes, Holiday Ramblers, Laura Blackley Band, Tater, Sawbilly Rooster, Rhyght Ear, and Hobex.

The French Broad River Festival could not take place without the generous contributions from our sponsors. Sponsors include Watershed Waterproof Drybags and Luggage, Astral Buoyancy, Teva Sandals, Pyranha Kayaks, Aire, Smith Optics, Bomber Gear, Highland Brewing Company, Orosi Sunglasses, French Broad Brewing, Asheville Pizza Company, Shred Ready Helmets, Thrown Out Throwbags, Northwest River Supplies, Diamond Brand, Clavey River Supply, Bluff Mountain Outfitters, Red Bull, Huck Finn Adventures, Warren Wilson College, Five.Ten, Surf the Earth, and RiverLink. Many of these sponsors will have vending booths at the festival for demonstrations and selling their products. Please come out and show your support of these great companies. Check out the awesome products these folks have to offer!

Admission to the festival is $35, this includes camping, music, registration fees for whitewater events (if you have your own boat), one raffle ticket, and good times.
