The 2003 Angst Mystery Move Nationals will take place on April 26 at Cowbell rapid on the Nolichucky River located in Erwin , TN. Come check out the mystery move masters as they do their thing, often times disappearing for 20 seconds or more. The event will be a grand daddy of a crowd pleaser, you will see boats and people disappear underwater longer than you thought was possible. This year’s event is the fifth annual mystery move nationals, and promises to be the best to date. The event features three classifications; “Jedi Knight” and “Apprentice” classes for men, and “Vixen” class for women. The event will commence at 2:30 pm on Saturday, April 26. The awards ceremony and party will take place at the campground after the event and will run well into the night. <b>Directions:</b> Take the Jackson Love exit off 19&23. There will be a Holiday Inn Express there. Take the road that goes in front of the Holiday Inn, It parallels the highway. Take your first left, and follow signs for the Nolichucky campground and the rafting companies. This road will take you close to the river and you will be following it upstream. You will come to a 4 way stop at a hostel, turn left and go over the bridge. Take the first right after the bridge and continue upstream. You will come out at the rafting outposts. The event site is a 100 yard float downstream. Parking is available at the Nolichucky campground for a couple bucks. As an alternative if you have multiple vehicles you can leave them near the bridge. If you choose to park at the outposts at the takeout use great discretion, if you make a presence and an imposition on the rafting companies they will certainly remember our behavior.<p>
<b>Camping:</b> Camping is encouraged at the Nolichucky campground which is at the take out. Also nearby is the Nolichucky Hostel and Cabins (423 735 0548)<p>
<b>Event Registration:</b> Registration for the event is $20. This includes entry into the contest plus a special gift, keg, dinner, and prizes from sponsors like Red Bull, NRS, Mountain Surf, Power Paws, Kayakoutfitting.com and more. . There will be two classes, “Jedi Knight,” and “Apprentice.” There will also be a “Vixens” class for women if there enough interest. Registration will take place at the campground on Friday night.
