Lotus Designs is proud to present the Ladies on the Lower G to benefit AW.  On Friday, September 19th, the day before the AW Gauley Fest, the women of Lotus Designs will be hosting a paddle down the Lower Gauley River.   Any woman who is comfortable paddling the Lower Gauley, and would like to join some of the most influential women in the sport of kayaking, are encouraged to sign up for what promises to be a wonderful event.  The $30 registration fee includes shuttles, a hot lunch catered by North American River Runners, and after paddling drinks. 

 

All net proceeds from the event will be donated to AW to help keep up its work protecting and restoring whitewater rivers across the country.

 

Join Us For A Great Day on the Lower Gauley:

 

Tanya Shuman – U.S. Freestyle Team Member, and is one of the women on the scene trying new moves and pushing the limits of women’s playboating. Not to mention she’s all smiles on the river.

Dixie Marree Prickett – She’s Pyranha’s leading lady! She’s all North Carolina, a regular on the Green River. She’s a well rounded paddler and is known as the ‘DMP’. Get over to Asheville and she’s the social/river director.

Katie Johnson – She’s our WV local. Mom of two, and paddles some of the biggest waves in WVA. She’s also an incredible creek boater too. She and her husband produced some of the best kayak porn; including: Fallin’ Down and Over the Edge.

Lisa Beckstead – Pro kayaker, fashion queen and now the Brand Coordinator for Lotus Designs. She’s in-house seeing that all kinds of cool things happen, including this paddle day. But keeping it real on the river will
always be her first love.

Christie Dobson – She’s the traveling field rep for Lotus Designs. From east to west, north to south, you can find her on almost anything from a surf wave to a waterfall. She also the layout girl for the American Whitewater Journal…all done from the riverbank somewhere.

The folks at North American River Runners (NARR) are organizing the registration, shuttles and meals for the trip.

 

To register for “Ladies on the Lower G” presented by Lotus Designs, please call NARR at 1-800-950-2585.  Registration for this event is limited to 25 women; spaces for this unique event will go quickly so register now to avoid being disappointed.  If you haven’t met any of these girls, you’re in for a treat. They are all super fun, nice, humble and all about kayaking. They’ve got patience, skills and the willingness to pass it all along. Come join these 5 girls for a great day on the river. You’ll be glad you did and all proceeds go to
American Whitewater!
