From J. Mazzola: October 2nd 2014, Whitman Dam Road washed out @ 19.6 mile during spring run off. No plans to repair according to locals until needed for logging sometime in future. Road up to washout getting shaky. Actual washout may be passable with properly equipped 4WD vehicles.

From SooWhiteWater: You can use Domtar Rd or Mekatina crossover. Makes for loooong shuttling. And,the Mekatina crossover has all the bridges pulled so it's slow and ruff now.

From J. Mazzola: Checked October 4th 2014, Whitman Dam Road washed out @ 19.6 mile during spring run off. On October 3rd and 4th there was a torrential rainstorm that dumped about 3-4 inches of rain in 10 hours. All the rainfall gages malfunctioned but the river level gage went to 9.0. (7.6 is considered low runnable) Discharge @ 5300 cfs
Whitman Dam Road The road is now also washed out at 23.7 mile so the put-in point at the bridge (22.5 mile) is only accessable by hiking in.
There are no plans to repair according to locals until needed for logging sometime in future.
Coming into Whitman Dam Road from the north is in excess of 70 miles one way on some pretty shaky 2 track roads.
e-mail me if you'd like to see pictures of whats left of the roads.
