Wood Report - Maple Falls to Welcome Bridge – Nooksack, N. Fork – 4 - Milepost 27 (Maple Falls) to South Fork Nooksack

Ran this section a month ago, there are at least 3 complete blockages between Maple Falls and Welcome(after the Maple Falls Canyon). The first one is a pair of channel spanning logs and makes for a pretty challenging portage. This section of the river changes with every flood cycle so always good to stay sharp and be prepared to pull off at a moment's notice...beautiful run though. Great for practicing thread the needle and pick your favorite braid.
