Hiwassee

There is ample current on the lower Hiwassee. With TVA's regular release on the upper, the lower receives good water and it will carry you down to your selected takeout without much paddling involved.

A sandy beach located in the 'gap' where the Hiwassee exits the mountains. There is a class II/II+ rapid just upstream of the beach.

Typical scenery from Reliance to Gee Creek. There is ample current on this stretch to aide with the paddling.
