Trip Reports
Log in to add a reportRan Martins Mill to Broadfording Rd. yesterday @ 4 ft. Great flow, no scraping at all. Was very easy and manageable the whole trip despite the swollen stream. The first mile we were moving at about 4 mph with minimum paddling. After the confluence with the West Branch, we slowed down to just under 3 mph, but still set a pretty good pace. 13 miles in about 4 hours. We did have one mandatory portage; the creek was completely blocked at the Old Cearfoss Bridge (right before the current Cearfoss Rd. Bridge). Portage was pretty simple, but a little steep. I wouldn't go out of my way to hit this stretch of water. There's nothing crazy or super unique about it, but it is nice! I'd run it often if I lived nearby.
