The BLM Vale District ranger has reported this bridge as fully repaired and operational.

Vale BLM has issued a travel advisory for visitors planning to float or paddle the Wild and Scenic Owyhee River below Rome, OR. Spring erosion has significantly damaged parts of Birch Creek Road/BLM Road # 7333 between the gate and the Birch Creek Takeout, making it extremely hazardous. Only high clearance, 4-wheel drive vehicles should be used. The next takeout is 17 miles downstream at Leslie Gulch. It is 4 miles from the Birch Creek Takeout to slack water, where motors and tows are allowed. For more information, please contact the Vale District at 541-473-3144.
