Shade Creek
Confluence of Dark and Clear Shade to Stony Creek
Alerts
Log in to add an alertThere is a metal post jutting up from a rock pile about one third of the way out from the left bank of the river below where Shade Creek crosses under the bridge at Seanor just above the confluence with Stony Creek. Watch for it just as the river makes a gentle right turn after the bridge. There is tarp tangled in the pole and the tarp trails out behind the pole for about 30 feet.
There is a river wide strainer in the first section of Shade Creek. It is shortly after you pass a overhead foot bridge. Easiest portage is river left. This tree looks like it may be there for awhile.
There are two strainers crossing the river on the right channel of the first island below the Camp Drive bridge. The first is about 200 yards below the head of the island; the second is about 30 feet above the foot of the island. Both cross the entire channel.
