Chewuch
1. Andrews Camp to Camp Four (The Upper)
Alerts
Log in to add an alertI paddled the Chewuch on 5/26/17 at 5000 cfs on the gauge starting at Andrew's Creek. The upper part of the run is in bad shape and not recommended. There are many log portages until shortly above Lake Creek. Best putin currently is on Lake Creek (scout this section to make sure it is clear of wood) which makes for a fun run down to Camp 4. The mile or so of the Chewuch upstream of Lake Creek has some good rapids so scrambling down from the road is an option, but there currently is a log in play on RR. This hazard can easily scouted from just up the road from the Lake Creek bridge.
