3 - Flaming Geyser State Park to 212 Way SE Bridge (Yo-Yo)

Ran from Flaming Geyser Park to Porter Levee Natural Area (before the Hwy 18 bridge). In over 15 years its the best run I've had down this section. Water level was perfect! No dragging bottom and a few fun class I-II rapids. Took 3 hours with just one portage about half-way down to avoid a strainer. This one is always there and we always portage. Easy to do with a nice sand bar. There was a gap and we probably could have run it, but we're novices and didn't want to risk it. Saw a few people putting in at the park on inflatables. Seems insane as the water was really cold and swift.

1 of my favorite rivers near the house totest new equipment. At this level no bottom scraping and a few small waves. Awesome

We started our trip by putting in on the upstream river left side of the Highway 169 Bridge and then continued on through the Yo-Yo stretch. This was a great kids trip and gave us a bit more mileage than just running the Yo-Yo stretch. As this was during COVID-19, we did bike shuttles.

The tree in the upper section has moved out of the way and is on River right. Not an issue.

Sept 29th 2018 Saturday ran Lower Green Gorge. At horseshoe bend there is a tree spanning the river with root wad on river left. We portaged on the right. The river is calm enough in the bend to safely get out on the gravel bar to walk around without any issues. Washington Kayak Club has posted pictures on their forum.
