Unguided first-timers should allow at least 10 hours for the run. The first descent took ten hours. Maybe super-hot boaters can do it faster, but if you don't know the rapids, prepare for a very long day down to the New River.
Note the sieve on the right at the entrance and the one on the left at the exit. A bad recirculating hole forms off the right side of the sieve at the bottom of the rapid.
This one's not run very often. There are two sieves along the river left bank. One of them to the left of the exit of the rapid is hidden under water and its location makes it a major factor.

Looks a little constricted, doesn't it?!
This is the nastiest rapid on the creek that is regularly run. The entrance involves a tight move next to a sieve (located just to the right of Peyton). The exit of the rapid is guarded by a bad sieve on the left and 'Greg's Hole' in the middle.
