WARNING!!! If running the Upper Two at low water (250cfs or less), a swim above deep throat should be taken VERY seriously!!! As the beta below says “deep throat has some horrible looking pain rocks in the middle of its bottom drop. Ugly as they are, they never seem to cause any problem”. Those horrible looking pin rocks become deadly if you swim at low water! My brother, Chip Sizemore, came out of his kayak above deep throat and was swept over the bottom drop. He got pinned in the main flow and I could not get him out before it was too late due to the great pressure the river was putting on him. Please keep this in mind if you’re running LRC at low water.
