Irondequoit Creek

There's a river-wide strainer, a log that is several inches above the water at 300-400 cfs. It is about 100 ft after a sharp right bend, so there's not much time to react. That's the first sharp right bend after the bridge-with-tunnels (Linear Park Dr / N Washington St).

According to the authorities, it is illegal to put in or take out on property owned by the Town of Penfield. This includes all of Linear Park on the river right.

At present 9/05, the bridge at the base of upper falls is completely blocked by some nasty looking strainers.
