Lamington

I was just on the Black today (Dec. 23, 2018). There is work being done on the Hacklebarney Rd. Bridge over the river. There is currently a thick (1.5') steel plate laid completely across the river on the upstream side of the bridge. At 2.6 it was just barely above river level. You wouldn't be able to see it at 2.8'. We took out above the broken dam (about 50 yds upstream) and walked down the trail on river left. then we walked out on the plate and launched off the downstream side of it.

Just ran this at 2.9' / 360cfs on 11/24/2018. Nearly every rapid went, but lots of wood everywhere. Portaged over a dozen times around logs.
Below the Hacklebarney Rd bridge, there is a small island. The right side is blocked by a log with a spiderweb of black ropes attached to it. It looks like it was a log bridge with rope 'hand rails' that has fallen into the river. Until it gets cleared, GO LEFT around the island, especially at high water.
