Floyds Fork of the Salt River

Please be very careful on any stretch of this river. While it may appeal to beginner paddlers with it's class I+ rating, it has numerous strainers that have claimed more than one life. One infamous strainer/logjam at a railroad bridge nearly claimed my friend's life as we didn't see the log in the middle of the chute until the last second, and her boat broached sideways against it in swift water.

Do not underestimate this river.
