if you are going to run Cannon Falls be careful and scout very well as there are three small sections of metal pipe sticking up right below the lip on river right that you cannot see when you are in your boat. the best line is splitting the middle and river left pipe but this is a very narrow (~4-6 feet) line and failure to do so could send you sideways over the 40+ foot drop. so just be careful and find some land marks in the water that you can instantly recognize from your boat. also don't be too preoccupied with this as there are two good sized holes above the drop and they could surf you over to river left where you definitely don't want to be, have someone set safety at the lip so they can pull you over to shore if you are getting surfed in the hole
